Peri-Implant Health Through Visual Diagnostics
From Fluorescence to Simulation: Storytelling Counseling in the AI Era
AIOBIO presents the QBLISS Clinical Series, a global monthly clinical webinar program hosted by Dr. Michael Miyasaki.
Dr. Miyasaki serves as the series host and primary speaker, leading each session with practical, case-based insights drawn from real-world clinical use of QBLISS visual diagnostics.
The QBLISS Clinical Series is designed to support clinicians in adopting visual, data-driven approaches to diagnosis, patient communication, and preventive care, helping bridge the gap between what clinicians know and what patients can truly understand.
Each session follows a concise and focused format, featuring a short clinical presentation followed by interactive Q&A, allowing participants to quickly translate concepts into everyday practice.
This ongoing series is open to dentists, dental hygienists, educators, and students worldwide who are interested in visual diagnostics, preventive dentistry, and more effective patient-centered care.
Advanced Biofluorescence Diagnostics
Clinical perspective from series host Dr. Miyasaki.
Series Host & Primary Speaker
Dr. Michael A. Miyasaki, DDS is the host of the AIOBIO QBLISS Clinical Series. A practicing clinician and internationally recognized dental educator, he has lectured worldwide on minimally invasive, patient-centered dentistry and brings decades of hands-on clinical experience to each session, sharing practical, case-based insights on how visual diagnostics can strengthen everyday examinations, patient communication, and preventive care.
Many patients do not act because they do not fully understand what clinicians see. This program explores how visual diagnostics can transform the hygiene exam into a clearer, more engaging, and more motivating clinical experience.
Attendees will learn how fluorescence-based images can support patient education, strengthen trust, and improve acceptance of preventive and early-intervention recommendations. The session will also highlight practical ways to incorporate visual findings into hygiene workflows, doctor-hygienist communication, and routine re-care visits for a more consistent and modern standard of care.
Turn "I don't see a problem" into "Now I understand."
Show → Explain → Recommend → Recheck
After completing this lecture, participants will be able to:
Turn “I don’t see a problem” into “Now I understand” by using fluorescence-based visual diagnostics to make biofilm, early disease indicators, and areas of concern more understandable and meaningful to patients.
Transform the hygiene appointment from a cleaning into a co-diagnostic experience by integrating visual findings into a repeatable examination and patient-education workflow.
Use images to create urgency without creating fear, applying patient-friendly language that builds trust, encourages ownership, and increases acceptance of preventive and early-intervention recommendations.
Create a stronger doctor–hygienist handoff by using visual evidence to establish a shared clinical story, improve consistency of recommendations, and make the doctor’s examination more efficient and impactful.
Implement a “Show → Explain → Recommend → Recheck” workflow that turns visual diagnostics into an everyday system for improving patient engagement, case acceptance, preventive care, and long-term oral health.
